Granular or global auditing parameters can be set within the database by any DBA
All audit records are cut to the SYS.AUD$ system table
DBA users can access the contents of the SYS.AUD$ table only through preset views
The SYS.AUD$ table must be backed up to regular tables and cleared periodically
